New Point by Olivia Luck

"Yes, he's that hot." -Olivia Luck, New Point

Zoe has been the center of media attention for far too long. Especially when she just wants to forget. In an attempt to change her life for the better, she moves down to New Point, a town her parents enjoyed. When she bumps into Miles, everything seems to be getting much better. But when her past comes out will she be able to move on? Or will it hold her back forever? Find the official description on Goodreads.

New Point, for the most part, was actually a lighter read than books I've been reading sometimes recently. Many of the interactions between Zoe and Miles are light, carefree, with a little bit of flirting. It's fun. They act like children or at least with the carefreeness of children and that was fun to witness, and it kept things from feeling as if they were too much to handle.

The prologue was short and mysterious. Which really grabbed my attention. It made me want to read more to find out about what happened to Zoe.

Throughout New Point, we get little glimpses of Zoe's past before getting the big picture. There's enough there to guess what Zoe went through and be proud of how strong she's been. It's definitely not a pretty story and this made me appreciate the lightness that Zoe seemed to have with Miles especially.

The plot moved along nicely, although sometimes you might think it was crawling. In reality it was just setting things up to bring up the drama.

I definitely think New Point was a great read. It was lighthearted, and fun for the most part with enough downs to put things into perspective. If you haven't already, you should buy New Point. It was released on September 10th, 2014.
